Making Cards at the Crop

I am a vendor at a crop in DuBois,PA this weekend. Some of the items that I sell are card kits. I hang a copy of each card on a backboard and participants can select a card. Here is Kathy selecting a card. ImageAfter she selects a card she will take the box with the corresponding number to her seat Image
Then they can make the card at their table.  Here is Morgan and her Grandma Charlene working on a card. Image Here are Lisa and Kim with cards that they made last night.

We are having such a good time this weekend. There is a lot of talking and laughing happening along with some very creative projects being made.

I hope you are creating something, too

Friday at the Movies - New Glimmer Paper

Stampin' Up has added 3 new products for Sale-a-bration. One of them is this new glimmer paper. I can't wait to play with this new product. Shannon in the video gives a lot of examples on ways to use this paper. Enjoy!

If you like glitter, than this is the paper for you! Have a great weekend.

Special Reason for This Card

Inlaid die-cutting. Not a quick technique, but so beautiful as a finished card. Image

I used the Stylish Stems thinlits to cut out the flower in white. Then I cut it out again using Wisteria Wonder and So Saffron. I took the 'inside pieces' and filled in the flower. It's almost like a jigsaw puzzle. Image
I couldn't decide if I liked the thick white bakers twine, but it certainly adds some dimension. Here is the card before the twine. Image

Here is the inside of the card. The words and flower are from the matching stamp set Special Reason (that's the reason for the title of this post!)Image

I hope you have a great day today! Create something!

Two Challenges on a Monday

Stampin' Up makes it so easy to match colors, especially when you use their designer series paper. This card came together very quickly once I picked out the pattern paper. Another big help were 2 challenges that inspsired this card. I hope my focal point is big enough. I used the stamp set All Things Thanks for the words and the Sale-A-Bration set Avant Garden for the flowers. I stamped the flowers and leaves on scratch paper first before stamping by the words. I really like the Mint Macaron and Pacific Point colors together. It's one of my new favorite color combos.

This is the inside.
I really need to thank my "tech guru" Jess for helping me with the computer aspects of my blog. I wouldn't be posting at all if it wasn't for her - thanks Jess!! I hope you like this card. Get some stamps out today and play!

Friday at the Movies - Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits

We used these thinlits at club this month and they were a big hit. The pop-up inside is such a surprise! Watch the video and get some ideas on how to use these stinkin' cute thinlits.

Here is the inside of the card. I'm sorry about the shadows. It was difficult to take a picture and this one doesn't do it justice on how stinkin' cute this inside really is! The stamp set also comes with stamped balloon images which may work a little better for the inside rather than the cardstock balloons. But either way, this is a fun card to make and I hope to receive.

And here is the outside of the card. I just love these little balloons. The dimension really makes them pop! I'll be using this stamp set a bunch. It's just so much fun to use.

I hope you enjoyed today's video, now go make a card!

Have a great weekend

Water Color Pencils

Water color pencils

These watercolor pencils are a great way to color any stamped image. They are so popular that Stampin' Up has placed 3 orders for them with the manufacturer. They will continue to sell them while supplies last, so get them now while you are able before they go on the backorder list.

Happy stamping!
